What a HISTORIC day, Night Owlsā£ļø

Did you watch the Inauguration this morning? I watched some of it, while I was still at work. I continued to listen to the broadcasts of the Inauguration while I was driving home from work, and then I continued to watch coverage of it when I arrived home.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the official ceremony of President Joe Biden and FIRST FEMALE Vice President Kamala Harris being sworn into their respective offices. I had to try and get some sleep in before my noon training. The training is an elective course on Trauma Informed Care, but it is such a vital and important topic that I take very seriously. Ironically enough, today's topic was Clinician Self-Care. Self-Care is not just for clinicians, and cannot be stressed enough how crucial it is to take that time to take care of yourself.

I have to admit, the parts of the Inauguration that I did watch, brought me to tears. Not tears of sadness, but tears of hope and being a witness to such a historic day. Today was a great day for the democracy of this country, and I pray for continued peace and unity of this country. We need more unity, and do away with all of the division that has brought nothing but pain to our communities.
